Timberview Farmstead FAQ's

How can I visit the farm? 

Our farm hosts field trips on weekdays throughout the school year and camps each week during the summer, so we are closed to the public on those days. However, we want everyone to have access to educational experiences at the farm, so we open once a month for special Farm Open Days. These dates are listed on our calendar and can be found under Ticket purchase options in the Farm Access tab of our website. If you would like to become a supporter of the farm, we also offer our partners weekly self-exploration access on Wednesdays. Partners receive the monthly newsletter with reservation links and details.  

How can I or my child volunteer? 

People over 16 can schedule a time to volunteer at the farm by emailing Laine at lainew@timberviewfarmstead.com to coordinate. 

Children under 16 must complete our camp volunteer training through Farm Camp or Farm Camp Jr. After completing the training, they are invited to join Timbercrew, our children’s volunteer program. Timbercrew families receive a volunteer registration link sent directly to parents each month. 

Groups can volunteer by coordinating with Laine at lainew@timberviewfarmstead.com . Families are also welcome to serve together during one of our pre-scheduled volunteer days. For more information, contact Summer at summer@timberviewfarmstead.com.  

Can I get a refund? 

We are open rain or shine. We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations or no-shows.  

When can I shop your Farm Shop? 

Our Farm Shop is open after each field trip for field trip guests, at the end of camp for camp guests, and during our monthly open-to-the-public events. Other options for purchasing fresh eggs, produce, and proteins are available through our Local Line link found under the Shop tab on our website menu. 

When is your food truck open? 

We partner with Meals with Meaning, which operates our food truck during some of our open-to-the-public events. The food truck is not operational at any other time at the farm, though it may be seen around town at local events. 

Can I rent your venue for a private event? 

Because our calendar is primarily dedicated to educational programming, we have very limited availability for private venue rentals. While we are unable to accommodate most rental requests, exceptions are occasionally made based on timing and alignment with our mission. For rental inquiries, please contact summer@timberviewfarmstead.com for more information. 

Can I host a birthday party at Timberview? 

We do not offer venue space or staffing for birthday parties.
