School Field Trips

All field trips are led by Timberview Teachers with hands-on activities to inspire your students. Our three-hour program includes group presentations plus a variety of learning stations for an up-close experience. Our lessons are aligned with TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) and customizable to fit your goals. Come explore the teaching farm and bring science to life!

Timing and rotation of movement for scholars. Explanations of what each animal and or crop was purposeful for the overall experience. The meet and greet was welcoming from all staff!! The scholars and even the chaperones were engaged and amazed. Thank you all for the experience!

What to Expect on During Your Field Trip:
  • Learn about aquaponics in our state-of-the-art greenhouse.
  • Learn about outdoor farming and gardening. 
  • Visit the goat and sheep barn
    and go inside the goat’s pen. 
  • Hold a banty chicken. 
  • Learn about egg-laying and hatching.
  • Have a rabbit sit on your lap. 
  • Visit the large animal barn and
    interact with our horse, cows,
    and donkeys.
